BANKNOTES on display - BANCONOTE in mostra
Tonight at the Teatro di San Carlo, the exhibition "BANKNOTES on display."
The faces of Music and Italian literature from the valuable archives of the Bank of Italy, "a special exhibition of historical notes, devoted to Verdi.
On the show, among other things, the bill one thousand pounds (editions 1962 and 1969) with the portrait of Verdi, the bill one hundred thousand lire (1967) with the face of Alessandro Manzoni, and the bill five thousand lire (1985) dedicated to Vincenzo Bellini.

I volti della Musica e della letteratura italiane dal prezioso archivio della Banca d’Italia», una speciale esposizione di storiche banconote, dedicata a Verdi.
In mostra, tra le altre, la banconota da lire mille (edizioni 1962 e 1969) con il ritratto di Verdi, la banconota da lire centomila (1967) con il volto di Alessandro Manzoni, e la banconota da lire cinquemila (1985) dedicata a Vincenzo Bellini.

The Enrico Caruso Museum, Villa Bellosguardo, in Lastra a Signa, is open on an exceptional and free, Monday, Feb. 25, from 9 am to 13 centoquarantesimo the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of the Master. Enrico Caruso, was made February 25, 1873, in Naples in the Via San Giovaniello Otticalli, n.7. Occasion is the exhibition "Caruso saw and wrote" that traces the luck bibliographic Enrico Caruso. A story in pictures and words that are not yet completed. The Museum bookshop offers a link with the bicentenary of Verdi with the sale of a casket which contains two CDs with 43 engravings made by Enrico Caruso, between 1902 and 1918, romances drawn from the works of Giuseppe Verdi. The edition is accompanied by a critical apparatus and informative. The songs were recorded by "talking machines" of the era, Victor Talking Machine, leaving the characteristic noise without the need for burning.

Il Museo Enrico Caruso, a Villa Bellosguardo, a Lastra a Signa, è aperto in via straordinaria e gratuita, lunedì 25 febbraio, dalle ore 9 alle 13, nella ricorrenza del centoquarantesimo anniversario della nascita del Maestro. Enrico Caruso nasceva, infatti, il 25 febbraio 1873, a Napoli in via San Giovaniello agli Otticalli, n.7. Nell’occasione è allestita la mostra “Caruso visto e scritto” che ripercorre la fortuna bibliografica di Enrico Caruso. Una storia per immagini e parole che non si è ancora conclusa. Il bookshop del Museo offre un collegamento con il bicentenario verdiano con la vendita di un cofanetto che raccoglie due cd con 43 incisioni effettuate da Enrico Caruso, tra il 1902 e il 1918, di romanze tratte da opere di Giuseppe Verdi. L’edizione è corredata di un apparato critico-informativo. I brani sono stati registrati dalle “macchine parlanti” d’epoca, Victor Talking Machine, lasciando il caratteristico fruscio senza interventi di masterizzazione.

Museo del sottosuolo - Museum of the underground
Una particolare "mattinata culturale", quella proposta, per domenica 10 febbraio, dall'Associazione Culturale Terramia-Assodipendenti,
mirante a conoscere, attraverso uno straordinario e suggestivo percorso
storico-sociale, aspetti della vita quotidiana e delle proprie radici
storiche.
Il Museo del Sottosuolo è il frutto di un intenso lavoro fatto da speleologi. Il percorso partirà da una mostra fotografica in 3D "Earth's open heart" (Terra a Cuore Aperto) per proseguire verso la cavità, nata come acquedotto dell'antica Neapolis e poi adattata a ricovero. Un modo originale per ammirare, non solo le capacità tecniche della realizzazione delle prime cave di tufo, ma altresì per vivere alcuni dei momenti salienti di una Napoli assediata dai bombardamenti della seconda guerra mondiale. Cisterne che hanno salvato molte vite e che furono allestite a cavallo degli anni '40 per accogliere la popolazione nel momento più orribile del Novecento.

Ore 10,00: raduno dei partecipanti presso uscita metropolitana Cavour, linea 2.
Ore 10,30: inizio attività didattico - escursionistica.
Durata: un'ora e trenta minuti circa.

Riduzioni: minori di eta' non superiore ai 16 anni gratuiti se accompagnati da n. 2 adulti
A particular "cultural morning," the proposal for Sunday, February 10, by the Cultural Terramia-Assodipendenti aimed at knowing, through an extraordinary and fascinating history-social aspects of daily life and its historical roots.
The Underground Museum is the result of intense work done by cavers. The route will start from a 3D photo exhibition "Earth's open heart" (Earth Open Heart) and continue to the cavity, born as aqueduct of ancient Neapolis and then adapted to hospitalization. One way to see not only the technical capabilities of the establishment of the first quarries, but also to experience some of the highlights of a Naples besieged by bombings during the Second World War. Tanks that have saved many lives and were set up at the turn of the '40s to accommodate the population at most horrible of the twentieth century.
Technical and organizational information:
10.00 am: gathering of participants at the output Cavour Metro Line 2.
10.30 am: start educational activities - hiking.
Duration: one hour and thirty minutes.
Organizational contribution Scientific + entrance fee to the museum of the underground € 9.
Reductions for children under age 'up to 16 years free when accompanied by n. 2 adults

Arturo Brachetti porta a Napoli i suoi amici, sorprendenti performer riuniti
appositamente per questa l'occasione. Si tratta del primo appuntamento di un
progetto che prenderà forma negli anni futuri e che si svilupperà nella prossima
stagione teatrale con Magiko!, spettacolo nato dalla frizzante fantasia di
Arturo.
Brachetti ha voluto sperimentare nella città partenopea i primi passi
del nuovo laboratorio, per la grande tradizione teatrale che questa città ha.
Una serata tra i ricordi e la fantasia che Arturo condivide con il suo pubblico,
a partire dagli esordi e dai primi numeri magici fino agli incontri con alcuni
tra i più talentuosi artisti conosciuti nella sua lunga carriera nazionale e
internazionale.

I Lucchettino (Luca Regina e Tino Fimiani), esilaranti e improbabili maghi comici a cui non è possibile resistere;
Luca Bono, giovanissimo talento dell’illusionismo con l’impossibile nelle mani;

An evening of memories and imagination that Arturo shares with his audience, starting from the beginning and the first magic numbers up meetings with some of the most talented artists known in his long career nationally and internationally.

CIUCCIO DI FUOCO

Rievocando l'antica tradizione contadina di accendere fuochi nelle campagne per scacciare gli spiriti cattivi, a Sorrento viene dato fuoco ad una sagoma di ferro, bardata di petardi, bengala e altri fuochi d'artificio, raffigurante un asino.
Evento che si ripete ogni anno, la sera di San Silvestro e rappresenta l'addio all'anno appena trascorso, con le sue gioie e le sue fatiche e il buon auspicio per quello nuovo.

Reminiscent of the old country tradition of lighting fires in the countryside to chase away evil spirits, Sorrento is set fire to a silhouette of iron, caparisoned with firecrackers, sparklers and other fireworks, depicting a donkey.
Event that happens every year, the New Year's Eve and a farewell past year, with its joys and hardships and good luck for the new one.
